Solution and mezzanines for Paack in collaboration with Geek

What was the challenge of the project?

Paack, a leading provider of scheduled and sustainable delivery solutions, needed to optimize its logistics operations with an efficient and scalable infrastructure. The project, developed in collaboration with Geek, required a mezzanine solution that would maximize storage space and streamline shipment distribution in a high-demand environment.

To address this challenge, we developed a 1,500 m² mezzanine floor specifically designed for the package sorting system using AMRs. The structure is engineered to withstand a live load of 300 kg/m², ensuring the necessary strength and stability for operations

The solution includes 10 workstations accessed via two walkways, with an improved ergonomic design thanks to the placement of the workstation floors below the mezzanine. Additionally, 200 custom-designed openings were created for efficient package unloading.

To ensure safety, the structure is engineered to meet R60 fire resistance standards and finished with intumescent paint. Furthermore, the mezzanine floor is constructed from fire-resistant panels, providing additional protection and durability

What solutions did we implement?

What results and achievements did we achieve?

  • Optimization of available space: We designed a mezzanine tailored to the specific needs of
    the logistics center.
  • Tight deadlines: We met a tight schedule without disrupting the center’s operations.
  • Coordination with other subcontractors: We worked closely with Moinsa and other teams to
    ensure seamless integration.
  • Improved logistics efficiency: The new structure allows Paack to manage its operations with
    greater agility and precision
